Hello Readers, Meryssa again.

First off I hope everyone is enjoying the amazing weather we have been having. Now that we are in the last quarter of school and the nice weather is starting up my teachers have been telling us to "put some more gas in our tank"; in other words students are starting to do less and less of their assigned work because they feel that their previous grades will get them to pass their class for the year and that isn't necessarily true. Let me speak from experience, I liked to procrastinate freshman year. I did what my teachers (and probably some others do too), I started to "slack off" around the end of the third quarter. You know what happened to me? I failed almost all my classes for fourth quarter. You know what that got me? Failing grades in some of my classes for the whole second semester. To this day I am taking a credit recovery class during school and I am also taking classes on VLACS (Virtual Learning Academy Charter School) just so I can graduate next year with my class. For those of you who never heard of VLACS it’s a new online high school that is free to all New Hampshire students in junior high and high school. VLACS excepts full or part-time students. I am a part-time student because I am only making up one class. As a junior I have a full day of school, no study halls, unlike some juniors who have classes off. Between my job, school work, and my VLACS work I have a hard time making time for everything else. So my advice for you, my readers is to keep your gas tank as full as possible. Don't let the nice weather make you burn out. The beach can wait, like my mom says school can get you places the beach can't. I am also hoping that all of you will continue to follow me throughout my senior year because NHHEAF has asked me to continue blogging for them throughout my high school career.
