Foster Youth and Youth-in-Care Specific College Scholarships

(written by Meryssa, Rising STAR)

Hey Readers, this blog is specifically for all of you who are “youth-in-care” (kids in foster care, placement, etc.) or for those of you who know a child who is under the category of “youth-in-care”.  So all of you who are “youth-in-care” and want to know what scholarships are out there just for you, you are reading the right blog.

My two favorite sites for information on scholarships for “youth-in-care” (especially foster children) are listed below. Keep in mind that scholarship applications do have due dates, so don’t procrastinate (for tips on how not to procrastinate read my blog entitled "Tips to Avoid Procrastinating" click here.

I hope this blog was a big help to you if you are looking for scholarships and you are a “youth-in-care”. Remember it doesn’t hurt to fill out an application or write an essay when it comes to applying for scholarships.  Who knows, you might get money to help you pay for college.

Hope all goes well,

Until next time,
Meryssa
