Overcoming Obstacles in a Tight Job Market

Greetings all!  My name is Sue Posluszny and I’m a career counselor with 25 years of experience supporting people with the employment search and career transition process.  Well, I’m psyched to now be a contributing ‘blogger’ with NHHEAF and invite you to check out my blog posts (blog entries will be posted twice per month…on the first and 15th day of each month).  My intention, as I blog, will be to support YOU with your search for new and exciting career opportunities!

Along with blogging, NHHEAF has asked me to present a seminar (there’s no charge for you and your friends to attend) to support NHHEAF borrowers with their job search and career transition efforts.  So, I’d like to invite you to join me on Monday, October 19, 2009, for this session.  The session, entitled Overcoming Obstacles in a Tight Job Market, will be held from 6-7:30pm in the NHHEAF Conference Center, directions can be found here.  In this session, we will explore:

• Common obstacles to effective career transitions and how to overcome them
• Your top personal job search challenges and action steps for moving forward
• A new way of thinking about networking and resources that can support your networking efforts

When the job market is tight, we all benefit from a fresh perspective…from new ways of seeing ourselves and available work opportunities.  We also need support as we make our way. So, if you’re currently unemployed and looking for support, or if you’re employed but wondering if this is the right time to explore new career possibilities, please do join me on October 19th!

If you’d like to know more about me and my background, you can visit my website at www.careeroptions4me.com.

Hope to see you on the 19th!

Until next time…
Sue Posluszny
